AUSA IN NARCOTICS SECTION COMMENDS EVIDENTIARY ISSUE POSITED BY RICHARDS

During a current trial with Ronald Richards, AUSA Michael Bullotta complimented
Mr. Richards due to Mr. Richards getting into evidence his client's statements
regarding his surprise that the government informant told him ecstacy was in the
packages. Mr. Richards used an excited utterance exception. Mr. Bullotta specifically
stated "I find you to be a very creative lawyer. I think you did a good job
today." Additionally, Mr. Bullotta's co-counsel, AUSA Kevin Rosenberg informed
Mr. Richards that there is no one who would doubt the statement, "Mr. Richards
works hard for his clients."
