FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ALL CHARGES DISMISSED AGAINST WRONGLY ACCUSED ALLEGED GANG MEMBER

February 16, 2005

(Pasadena, California) Today, in a stunning reversal, the Court dismissed all charges against an alleged Vineland Boyz gang member charged with 187 murder, accessory after the fact, of an accused murderer of a Burbank Police Office which on November 15, 2003. Mr. Sandoval appeared in the Los Angeles Superior Court, Pasadena, Department E, with his attorney, Ronald Richards, Esq.

Jesus Sandoval’s $500,000 bond was exonerated and all charges were dismissed due to the People’s inability to try the case within the strict time limits set forth in California’s speedy trial act. The defendant’s gang enhancements were also dismissed.

During the last 70 days, the defense never waived a day of time and pushed the case ahead at lightening speed causing confusion and pressure to the District Attorney’s office. Even though the settlement offers were reasonable by the District Attorney’s office, the defense maintained that the presumption of innocence in this case was real, not open to negotiation, and something that could not be compromised in this case.

The defense would like to thank Montana Bail Bonds for its help in getting the defendant released and Dana Cole, Esq. for his strategic advice.
