Attorney: Ruffalo suspect released, cleared

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) — An attorney for a woman arrested in the shooting death of actor Mark Ruffalo's brother says she's been cleared.

Jail records indicated that 26-year-old Shaha Mishaal Adham was released late Tuesday night.

Beverly Hills attorney Ronald Richards says he presented evidence to detectives during a five-hour meeting Tuesday night that proved Adham did not shoot Scott Ruffalo early Dec. 1. She had turned herself in on an attempted murder arrest warrant Monday afternoon.

Richards says Adham saw Ruffalo shoot himself accidentally and fled. He says the pair were friends and she had gone to Scott Ruffalo's condo to retrieve car keys.

The 39-year-old younger brother of Mark Ruffalo died of his injuries Monday night.
